A charity which supports bereaved children has been picked to benefit once again from a Norfolk food festival.
Profits from Porkstock, which will take place at the Norfolk Showground in the autumn, will go to the charity Nelson’s Journey.
This is the fifth year that Porkstock has been a public event, having been started 15 years ago by a group of beer and barbecue-loving friends.
It is now a free family event during the day and an over-18s ticketed party in the evening. This is the third year in a row that Nelson’s Journey will benefit, with £10,173 raised last year.
Simon Wright, chief executive of Nelson’s Journey, said: “Porkstock’s continued support means that we can continue to work to bring back smiles to children who’ve lost a special person in their lives.”
Cranswick Country Foods and Wayland Farms have been announced as sponsors for the event, which will take place on Saturday, October 13.
