Major works on the £80,000 refurbishment of a mid Norfolk car park begin later this week.
North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) is spending £80,000 on upgrading the facility over the next eight weeks.
The project will see Highfield Road Car Park in Fakenham resurfaced in works due to begin on Thursday, September 20.
A council spokesperson said: '[This] will provide a high-quality facility for the town and its visitors.
'The car park is currently unsurfaced, so the end result will be a much-improved facility.'
The work will include new signs and a barrier at the entrance to the car park.
There will be more than 70 standard and five disabled parking spaces.
The spokesperson added: 'Charges will be introduced once the car park has been upgraded, bringing Highfield Road into line with other standard car-park tariffs around North Norfolk.'
