Police have cordoned off an area of Sheringham town centre this afternoon after a loose chimney stack was spotted on a building.
Officers are watching the area, outside the Nationwide Building Society and Sainsbury's, on High Street.
A police spokesman said an officer had noticed that the stack was unsafe, probably caused by wind damage, at about 1.45pm.
Officers were waiting for North Norfolk District Council staff to arrive at the scene.
