Traffic is operating as usual after police crews helped clear the A47 following two collisions which involved five vehicles in total.

Norfolk Police were called to the westbound carriageway at Postwick at 7.17am where it emerged two separate road traffic collisions had occurred within seconds of each other.

A Vauxhall Corsa and Mercedes lorry had first collided, followed by a three-vehicle collision between a blue Ford Mondeo, red Seat Leon, and blue Vauxhall Zafira.

It is thought the second collision happened as a result of the first incident.

Part of the carriageway was sectioned off while the police were at the scene.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police confirmed no one was injured and said the road was opened at around 7.55am.
