Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision in Ditchingham last night.
At about 7.20pm, a red Renault Megane and a silver Vauxhall Astra were in collision on the B1332 Norwich Road near to Hollow Hill Lane.
The Renault overturned and the female driver was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital with serious head injuries.
She remains in a critical condition.
The male driver of the Vauxhall sustained minor cuts and bruises.
Fire crews from Bungay, Harleston and Carrow were called to the scene.
The road was closed until midnight while a collision investigation got underway.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this collision or saw the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand. The Renault was travelling towards Ditchingham with the Vauxhall travelling in the opposite direction.
