An elderly woman who was flown to hospital following a road accident in King's Lynn is in critical but stable condition.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the collision on Saturday, March 11. It happened on a pedestrian crossing Railway Road at the junction with Norfolk Street at about 10.10am.
A silver Peugeot van was involved in a collision with a female pedestrian aged in her late 70s. The woman suffered multiple broken bones and serious head injuries. She was airlifted to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge where her condition is described as critical but stable.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and re-opened at about 2.20pm.
Officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw the collision or has information concerning the incident. Witnesses should call PC Andy Goodway at Swaffham roads policing on 101.
