Police are appealing for information after a pet cat was shot in Beccles.
The male ginger cat had been missing for more than four days when he returned to his Lowestoft Road home with injuries.
The incident happened between August 11 and August 15.
The cat was taken to the vet where pieces of shot were found in his body and his injuries were so severe that he had to be put to sleep.
Officers are asking anyone who may have seen the incident or who may have any information about the person responsible for shooting to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting crime number 50225/16.
