Police appeal after arson attack on Norwich flat

A police appeal has been launched after arsonists targeted a Norwich home.

A bundle of decorative grass was set alight and pushed through the letterbox of a flat in Old Palace Road, off Dereham Road.

The grass, shoved through the letterbox at about 1am on Sunday, set fire to a net curtain, but the people in the flat were able to put it out before anyone was hurt.

A food waste bin at the bottom of the stairs in the block of flats had a similar burning bundle placed in it.

Anyone with information should call DC Jill McAndie on 0845 4564567 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
