A woman, believed to be about 70, has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital suffering from seatbelt chest injuries after being released by firefighters from a car which collided with a wall in North Walsham this morning.
The car crashed into an archway at the Trafalgar Court flats, between the town's Roys' store and the nearby Tots 2 Toddlers shop, on Yarmouth Road, at about 10.30am.
The woman was reported to be conscious and breathing.
A police spokesman said the incident involved two cars; a red Polo and a grey Citroen. A structural engineer was due at the scene to see whether the wall was safe.
