Photographs of modern architecture have flooded in as part of the Festival of Architecture in Norwich and Norfolk (FANN13).

Events linked to the biennial festival are currently being held around Norwich, including an exhibition of architecture work at The Forum.

Alongside those events is a photography competition being run in conjunction with the EDP's Norfolk is… campaign.

Almost 100 photos were entered into the competition and a selection of the 12 final photos are pictured here, following last Thursday's deadline.

All 12 photos on the final shortlist are now on show at the exhibition at The Forum where a public vote is being held to decide the winner.

The winning photographer will claim one night's dinner and bed and breakfast for two at the Maids Head Hotel in Norwich, and there will also be prizes for second and third place.

Matt Wood, director of Wymondham-based architects Lucas Hickman Smith, is chairman of the FANN13 committee.

Mr Wood said: 'I'm really pleased it has worked out because it's one of the events that was mentioned right at the start when we were brainstorming, with Jen Charlton and Jerene Irwin (from Chaplin Farrant).

'It was a bit slow for entries at the start, but then we got a flood through. It's great to see other people's views of modern architecture because that is the core of what the festival is about.'

The festival still has a range of events planned and Mr Wood said he is pleased with how FANN13 has started. 'I'm on the council of the Norfolk Association of Architects and in 2009 I ran a series of evening talks and really enjoyed that,' Mr Wood added.

'It's been good so far, it's nice to see it all come together. It feels really good to keep it all going.'

The FANN13 exhibition continues until Thursday and then returns between Sunday and next Wednesday.

The winners will then be announced at a ceremony at the exhibition from 1pm on Sunday
