Harleston Post Office has been temporarily closed because of a technical hitch.
A spokesman for the Post Office said that the phone line to the branch in the Thoroughfare had been accidentally cut by BT and that their computer systems could not function without a connection.
It is not yet known how long it will take to repair the line.
The spokesman said: 'We apologise to customers of Harleston Post Office for the temporary closure of the branch for operational reasons beyond our control. We are waiting for BT to repair the cable connection to the branch as our computer systems can not operate without this.'
