A person was taken to hospital with minor injuries yesterday evening following a two-car crash in Costessey.

Police were called to Longwater Lane at 6.20pm following the crash involving a Honda Jazz and a Fiat Punto outside Taverham Vets.

The cars were travelling in opposite directions at the time of the crash and it is believed that the injured person was taken to hospital by a relative.

The road was blocked in both directions for a number of hours and eventually reopened at 9.30pm.
