Saxlingham Players will present their latest production this week, Party Piece by well known comedy playwright, Richard Harris.

The play is set in the rear gardens of adjacent properties in west London. It is a Saturday afternoon in summer and the Smethhursts are having a housewarming barbecue.

Mrs Hinson has lived in the house next door for ever and hates the disturbances caused by recent renovations, the smokey BBQ, and noisy goings on.

Lots of comic interplay between the two houses follows.

Mrs Hinson's son and daughter-in-law want Mrs Hinson to move away to be nearer to them, giving one of many other comic storylines.

Party Piece, directed by Neil Smith, will be the 133rd play performed by Saxlingham Players in their 67 years of treading the boards.

It runs from April 11 to 14 at 7.30pm in Saxlingham Nethergate's village hall. Tickets can be reserved by telephoning 01508 499631 between 9am and 9pm.
