Parts of Swaffham have been turning bright purple thanks to the work of the town's rotary club.
In November the Swaffham Rotary Club members planted 10,000 crocus plants in two public spaces in the town.
Five thousand were in the churchyard at St Peter and St Paul's Church in the town centre and a further 5,000 in an area at the entrance to the town on the Brandon Road roundabout.
As the winter progressed members were watching to see if they had been successful and last week both areas were alive with the colour purple.
The crocus was chosen as the purple colour matched the dye painted on the little fingers of children across the world to show that they have been immunised.
Rotary International is proud to be working towards creating a polio free world.
