LORNA MARSH
A second wave of Norwich parks was today given the go-ahead to host a programme of events - subject to certain conditions.
Council officials have been forced to impose the conditions after objections from residents to licensing the parks for entertainment into the evening.
The council stressed that the applications did not relate to alcohol and were simply needed to continue the city's annual programme of events because of a recent change in law that required such licenses .
All the applications were passed for Pilling Park, Sloughbottom Park, Ketts Cave recreation ground and Peterson Road open space, but with conditions.
