Residents of Oulton Broad did a double take today as 'Prince William' appeared to drop in and join their Royal Wedding street party.

Dozens of people in Andrew Way rubbed their eyes with disbelief as the newly married prince rubbed shoulders with one his regal ancestors- Queen Victoria.

But of course the two surprise guests were only neighbours who had mischievously dressed up as the famous royals to get people in the party mood.

The party was organised for people in Andrew Way and Chichester Drive by the local neighbourhood watch group.

The two roads have held Halloween, Easter and Christmas carol events in the past but this was the first time a street party had been organised.

Organiser Val Burgess said: 'Today is all about bringing the community together. We are a very close knit community here.'
