A Norfolk cycling event has teamed up with Active Norfolk in a bid to get the whole county on two wheels.
The Tour de Norfolk returns to the Norfolk Showground at Costessey for a combination of routes from one to 100 miles.
The event, now in its second year, takes place on September 17 and is designed for every ability of rider. This year, the organisers are keen get all members of the family cycling.
There are four different length routes for adults starting with a 20-mile route increasing to 40, 70 and 100 miles.
New for this year is a family-friendly one kilometre circuit inside the Norfolk Showground which is ideal for families and children under 12.
Tour de Norfolk organiser Luke Rumbelow said: 'Last year's event attracted a wide range of riders, from eight to 80 years old and it had a fantastic family-friendly atmosphere. This year we are planning an even bigger event and hope to see more adults and children enjoying cycling in Norfolk.'
Tour de Norfolk is donating £2 to the Big C, for every rider who signs up online and is encouraging those taking part to also fundraise for the charity.
'We are also keen to break our fundraising record of £20,000 for Big C,' Mr Rumbelow added, 'so if you are able to, please fundraise for this amazing charity who make such a difference to those in our county affected by cancer.'
Active Norfolk director Ben Jones said: 'The Tour de Norfolk is a great event to encourage riders of all ages to challenge themselves and have fun on their bikes, and we're pleased to be able to support the event through Pushing Ahead.
'There are many ways to enjoy cycling here in Norfolk, whether that's for recreation, exercise, or for commuting and it's important that cyclists of all ages learn the basic road and safety skills to be able to cycle confidently.'
Active Norfolk works with all of Norfolk's local authorities, Norfolk County Council (NCC) Public Health to support the strategic development of sport in Norfolk.
