Controlled detonations will take place at RAF Lakenheath this evening (Tuesday) and early tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
The explosions are being conducted as part of safety procedures to dispose of ordnance discovered today near the RAF Lakenheath flightline. People nearby may hear occasional noises between 6pm and 9pm this evening, and from 6am to 10am tomorrow.
Officials have said there is no risk to the local community. Flying operations will not be affected by the detonations.
