Norwich railway station had to be evacuated this afternoon after reports of a smell of smoke.
Firefighters from Carrow and Sprowston were called to the station, in Thorpe Road, just before 3pm today.
The station was evacuated while firefighters investigated, but it turned out to be a false alarm.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia Abellio said the evacuation would have a knock-on effect on services, because trains were held up from entering or leaving the station while firefighters carried out their investigation.
