Lego bricks are normally known for building objects, but what if they could build up awareness?

Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library held a special Big Lego Build on Thursday to raise awareness for World Autism Awareness Week (WAWW). Norfolk librarians joined forces with Alpha Inclusion to hold the event which offered children of all ages the chance to play together and build one giant Lego creation. The library had also set up a quiet zone and was donated noise cancelling headphones by BAM Nuttall to help children with autism to participate in the day's activities.

Amy Eleftheriades, one of the event's organisers, said 'Lego connects people; we wanted to find a way to make everywhere more inclusive and bring people together.'

As well as having fun building Lego masterpieces, families were also able to chat to professionals about autism and find out more about the support available in Norfolk.
