More than 1,200 has been donated to Marie Curie Cancer Care following a performance from Norwich Community Choir.
The 1,207 was raised through a successful performance at St Thomas's Church in early May.
The choir has many social and performance opportunities and recent events have included singing in the Bishop of Norwich's Gardens, an open garden event at Honing and a food fair at Gressenhall Rural Life Museum. Meg Turpin, choir leader, said: 'Many people think you have to be good to sing in a choir, but you have to sing with others to get good.'
The choir meets on Mondays at 7.15pm at the United Reformed Church in Jessopp Road; Tuesdays at 7.15pm at St Cuthbert's Church Hall in Sprowston; and Thursdays at 12.30pm at St Peter's Church rooms in Park Lane. New members of all ages are always welcome.
