Norwich Cathedral Choir is preparing to celebrate Christmas with its second annual festive concert by candlelight.

The choir, including both boy and girl choristers aged eight to 18, will sing a programme of sacred and secular music at the Cathedral on Friday, December 12 from 7.30pm.

Ashley Grote, Norwich Cathedral's master of music, said: 'We have a wonderful selection of music including some light hearted classics such as The Snowman and White Christmas, as well as traditional carols for both the choir and audience.

'Last year's concert was enjoyed by hundreds and we are anticipating another packed cathedral for this family occasion that will really get you in the Christmas spirit.'

The choir's members are from schools including Hellesdon, Langley, Wymondham High, Norwich High School for Girls and Norwich School.

• Tickets cost £12-£18 and include a mince pie and glass of mulled wine. For more information visit www.cathedral.org.uk/Christmas or buy tickets in person from the Cathedral Shop, Theatre Royal or Prelude Records.
