It was one of the more unusual pledges made at this year's General Election.
In a bid to win votes during the campaign, North Norfolk MP Norman Lamb promised to join a zumba class in North Walsham if he was re-elected.
And, while politicians don't always fulfil their pledges, the Liberal Democrat politician donned his Lycra for the sponsored event and raised around £4000 for charity in the process.
Mr Lamb said: 'I wrote a promise on the back of one of my posters that if I was re-elected on June 8 I would take part in the Zumba session. Once we got the session fixed I set up an online fundraising appeal and I have been thrilled by the response from people who sponsored me.' And he added: 'It was also great fun!'
The funds raised will be divided between Cromer foodbank and the Norwich and Central Norfolk branch of mental health charity MIND.
Donations can still be made through Mr Lamb's Just Giving site.
