An extra £100,000 has been given to three Norfolk councils to help ongoing work with hundreds of domestic abuse victims over the next two years.
The money is expected to benefit 117 women and 142 children, and is part of a national £20m fund announced by the government in the last few days.
Leeway, Norfolk and Waveney's specialist domestic abuse charity, will provide services in partnership with West Norfolk, North Norfolk and Breckland Councils.
The money will be used to pay for a specialist domestic abuse case worker, a dedicated refuge bed space for women, and a rent-guarantee scheme enabling women to move on to independent living quicker.
Gordon Bambridge, Breckland Council's executive member for growth, said: 'Victims are extremely vulnerable and this funding will give them access to very practical assistance and expert support and advice.'
