Two teenagers raised 478.39 for Macmillan Cancer Support at a cup cake stall in a Norfolk village on Bank Holiday Monday in memory of their grandparents.
Charlotte Ball, 14 and Lucy Clowes, 15 baked over 100 cup cakes of various exotic flavours including lavender, red violet, cola and rose, which they sold in The Street, Flordon, close to the Redwings Horse Sanctuary.
Charlotte's grandfather Fred Matthews was helped by the charity five years ago prior to his death aged 76, as was Lucy's grandmother Jessie Clowes.
Charlotte's mother Karen Ball said: 'They had lots of support from friends, family and neighbours and quite a bit of passing trade too. They are absolutely thrilled to beat last year's total.'
