People have until midnight to nominate a school, business, sports club or individual who you think deserves recognition for their sporting achievements.

The Norfolk Sports Awards give people the chance to nominate individuals and organisations who they feel deserve to be recognised for their contributions to sport.

It culminates with a prestigious award ceremony featuring Olympic, Paralympic and Commonwealth Games guests at Open, in Norwich, on Tuesday, November 15.

But people now have until the end of today to ensure their sporting idols within the county have a chance of winning, with nominations closing at midnight.

Organiser Active Norfolk said it was seeking more entries for sporting businesses, sporting schools and sporting villages.

Ben Jones, director of Active Norfolk, said 'The Sports Awards are a celebration of the achievements of our volunteers, sportspeople, clubs, coaches, businesses and schools in a highly competitive sector.'
