A 93-year-old Norfolk man has been killed in a car crash on Humberside.

Police have said the tragedy occurred near the Humber Bridge at 9.35am on Saturday.

The victim, who is from Ditchingham, near Bungay, was killed on the north-bound carriageway of the A15 near Barton.

Humberside Police have said the man was the only occupant of a Nissan Micra.

The vehicle is understood to have left the road, although as yet the reason is unclear.

The Nissan then rolled on to its roof and came to a rest upside-down

Police believe no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

Emergency services attended the incident, but the Nissan's driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are currently investigating what caused the tragedy.

The man's identity has not been released as yet.
