A Norfolk football fan in Donetsk for England's crunch match against Ukraine describes the atmosphere in the city.

A win or a draw against the hosts will see Roy Hodgson's men through to the quarter finals, while a loss will leave the Three Lions looking for the next flight home.

County development manager at Norfolk FA, Gavin Lemmon, is one of a group of fans from Norwich in the Ukrainian city for tonight's match.

Mr Lemmon, who is enjoying a beer in the sweltering heat of a Donetsk restaurant said not many England fans had made the trip out.

'We are going to head down to a pub for England fans but there are not many English about,' he said. 'The mood has been really good.

'There were lots of Swedish fans in Kiev and we got on really well with them.

'I'm not sure what the atmosphere will be like tonight. I imagine it will be intense. We're hoping the Ukrainian fans will be okay if England win.'

One Norwich resident who will not be cheering on England tonight is Ukrainian fan Nataliya Klymko.

The 31-year-old works for Norfolk County Council but is originally from Lviv in the west of Ukraine.

'I'm very excited,' she said. 'The English team is extremely strong so Ukraine is lucky to play against them.'

She said her country was very proud of how the tournament had gone so far.

'It is much better organised than people thought it would be,' she said. 'I'm very happy that we are hosting it.'
