She is more used to putting singers through their paces, but a Norwich music teacher has been adjusting to a stint in the editor's chair.
Heather Edwards, who runs Come Singing groups for people with dementia and founded Music Mirrors, scooped the Community Champion of the Year Award at last year’s Stars of Norfolk and Waveney event.
The Eastern Daily Press and Norwich Evening News editor David Powles gave up his office to Ms Edwards as she enjoyed a trip to publisher Archant’s Prospect House in Rouen Road, Norwich, and print centre at Thorpe St Andrew as part of her award prize.
She praised the teamwork that goes into creating every day’s paper and said: “It’s been absolutely amazing and has given me an insight into how the papers are put together.
“It’s given me a huge respect for the effort that goes into getting the balance right and seeing the papers being printed was completely fascinating.”
