A Norwich-based charity which supports children and young people who have experienced the death of a family member or friend has been awarded nearly �120,000.
Nelson's Journey, which gives youngsters the chance to attend residential activity weekends to help them come to terms with their loss, has received a three year grant of �119,441 from BBC's Children in Need.
The money, part of �2, 367,233 awarded to projects in the Central England area as part of its summer allocation of funds following the record breaking November Appeal.
Bosses at Nelson's Journey, based at Meridian Way on the Broadland Business Park, were 'absolutely delighted' and say the money will help the charity continue to offers one-to-one support for bereaved children in Norfolk.
Colin Lang, chief executive officer of Nelson's Journey, who revealed the money would help pay for the wages of a child bereavement support officer, said: 'It's fantastic news and we really appreciate Children In Need's support. We're already seeking grants to pay for the other two support workers.'
