Meet Roxy, the police's newest recruit, and one with a nose for tracking.
The 13-month-old dog has just joined the Norfolk and Suffolk Police dog section. Alongside her new handler PC Annelly Miles, she will help officers with searches and patrols.
Having the nose for police work runs in the family as Roxy is the sister of another pooch, Ozzy.
Undergoing rigorous training, and tests measuring obedience and agility, the hounds also have to search fields and building to prepare for their everyday work
Among other skills they must learn, is the ability to track hidden people.
PC Miles, Roxy's handler, said: 'We've been together since July and we have taken her training at a steady pace as she is still such a young dog. She's gradually worked out what the games are and if she gets it right she gets her toy and lots of play.
'She has enjoyed all the aspects of her training but it was clear early on that she has a good nose for tracking.'
