A south Norfolk abattoir must wait until next week to discover whether an appeal against its licence being revoked has been successful.
Norfolk Meat Traders, which is based in Banham, took the Food Standards Agency (FSA) to court after it did not extend its conditional approval to kill livestock.
The refusal stems from an inspection which took place on April 10, where an FSA inspector raised concerns about animal welfare, and an allegation that the company had illegally slaughtered horses on March 31.
On day two of the trial at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court, all remaining evidence was heard and both parties made their closing statements, but there was insufficient time for district judge Nick Watson to deliver a judgement.
Deborah Wilson, director of Norfolk Meat Traders, gave evidence, as did the inspector that visited the abattoir.
Mr Watson is scheduled to deliver his decision electronically next week.
