From fancy dress outfits to retro toys a newly-opened shop has plenty on offer to put smiles on customers' faces.

The ribbon was cut at Lowestoft Fancy Dress on December 1 by owner Andrew Davis- aka Andy the Clown – in time to coincide with the Kirkley Village Festive Event.

Located on London Road South in Kirkley, a steady flow of attendees came to view the new shop with youngsters enjoying the opportunity to meet Santa in his grotto located at the rear of the shop.

Mr Davis, 44, said: 'There has been a lot of people coming in to say 'good luck' but fancy dress is quite specialised so I expect people will come in on a Thursday or Friday afternoon to purchase a last minute Christmas fancy dress outfit in the lead up to the party season.

'I also expect custom from themed dress up days at schools. There's nowhere else in Lowestoft you can walk in to look at and buy a costume.'

With more than twenty years experience in retail management and ten years as a professional clown Andrew Davis knows how to make customers happy and put smiles on their faces.

Open six days a week, Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5pm, Lowestoft Fancy Dress also stocks a fantastic arrange of humorous gifts, toys and oddities.

'This is everything I love- it is not primarily a joke shop or a fancy dress shop its something which will keep evolving.

'We have fancy dress, jokes and novelties- so come along to the fun emporium and find a smile!'
