For more than a century it has been a cornerstone of Great Yarmouth's entertainment scene.

Now, as the Hippodrome prepares for opening night of its Easter spectacular, a new video has been released showcasing the changing face of the venue over the decades.

The video shares priceless memories of the Hippodrome, from visits of Houdini and Charlie Chaplain, to how it looks today.

This year's Easter performance, 'Swashbuckling Pirate Water Show', opens on Saturday, April 1, and will continue until April 23 - though there will be no shows on April 18, 19, 20 and 21.

Shows are at 2.30pm and 6.30pm each day, with additional shows on Good Friday and Easter Saturday and Sunday.

Further information can be found on the Hippodrome Circus website.
