Norwich-based author Sheridan Winn has published a new book called Boudica's Daughters.
Ms Winn is well known for her Sprite Sisters series of books for seven to 12-year-olds, and Boudica's Daughters is the first novel she has written for young adults.
Set in Breckland, it tells the tale of two pairs of sisters living 2,000 years apart. It is described as a modern-day tale about coming to terms with a terrible violation, and the story of the daughters of Queen Boudica of the Iceni tribe echoes that of today.
With the book set in both modern times and the Iron Age, Ms Winn took the advice of local experts to ensure the historial aspects were as authentic as possible.
The book is currently available to buy as an e-book. For more information, visit www.sheridanwinn.com/boudicas-daughters
