Film fans are continuing to be kept in suspense as to when Norwich Cathedral's starring role will be revealed on the big screen in the movie Tulip Fever.
Part of the star-studded film was shot at the historic city building and also at Holkham Beach back in summer 2014, but there is still no news as to when it will be released in the UK.
American and Canadian audiences are expected to be able to watch it from February 24, and various release dates also appear to have been set throughout February to April for European countries including Greece, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Norway and Sweden.
However, despite much of the movie being filmed in Norfolk and other locations across the country, no decision appears to have yet been made as to when it will be shown in UK cinemas.
The movie, which is actually set in 17th century Amsterdam during the height of tulip mania, is based on the novel of the same name by Deborah Moggach, who also penned the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
It tells the story of a young married woman, Sophia, who has an affair with an artist commissioned by her husband to paint her portrait.
Alicia Vikander, Christoph Waltz and Dane DeHaan play the central characters of Sophia, her husband Cornelis Sandvoort, and the artist Jan Van Loos respectively.
Dame Judi Dench is also among the impressive cast list which also includes Cara Delevingne, Jack O'Connell, Tom Hollander, Holliday Grainger, Kevin McKidd, David Harewood and Zach Galifianakis.
People were given a first glimpse of Norfolk's role in the film when a trailer was released last year.
Holkham's expansive sands and big skies open the trailer before it cuts to interior shots of Norwich Cathedral and Dame Judi Dench's character, the Abbess of St Ursula, tells Sophia, 'You would have been an orphan girl on a stormy sea. Marriage is a safe harbour – love, honour, and obey.'
As we reported at the time of filming, Norwich Cathedral's cloister in particular was given an extensive movie makeover.
An array of trees and greenery were brought into the cloister, along with some cows, geese and pigs, to conjure up the backdrop for the film, and many extras appeared to have been cast to play nuns. At one point two horses and a carriage also arrived at the film set.
The story was adapted for cinema by Sir Tom Stoppard and the film's director, Justin Chadwick, previously directed The Other Boleyn Girl and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Ruby Films' Alison Owen (Saving Mr Banks) produced the film with Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company, while Bob Weinstein, also co-chairman of The Weinstein Company, is described as executive producer.
Footage from the film was screened in May 2015 at the Cannes Film Festival and it was originally due to be released in US cinemas in July last year.
