A traveller appeared in court today charged with the murder of his mother and attempted murder of his father.Richard Branch, 38, is alleged to have set fire to his elderly parents' caravan at a traveller's site at Turf Fen Bridge, near Wisbech, in the early hours of Saturday.

Richard Branch, 38, is alleged to have set fire to his elderly parents' caravan at a traveller's site at Turf Fen Bridge, near Wisbech, in the early hours of Saturday.
Lavinia Branch died in the inferno, while Thomas Branch remains in a critical condition in hospital.
Mr Branch, who also lived at the site, will appear before Cambridge Crown Court on Monday, May 21. He was remanded in custody.
