A mother and her young child were taken by ambulance to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital this afternoon after their car hit a tree and left the road between Aylsham and Cawston.
Police and Aylsham firefighters also attended the accident, at about 2pm on Aylsham Road near the gates to the former Cawston College, now Jeesal Cawston Park.
A police spokeswoman said the pair were taken to hospital as a precaution and were not believed to have suffered serious injury. The silver Volkswagen Golf car was the only vehicle involved.
