Officers were called to the B1153 near the construction college at Bircham Newton this morning.
A herd of up to 30 cattle were reported on the road. Officers tweeted: 'Road now clear at Bircham. Cows have safely 'Moo'ved' on.'
Earlier this week, police were called to capture a swan which was causing long delays on the A47 at Postwick, near Norwich.
Traffic officers set up a rolling roadblock to capture the bird, which was taken away and released.
