Pupils in Hethersett were treated to surprise visitors at a school assembly.
Miniature donkeys Pixie and Pippin, from Mini Donkeys for Wellbeing, clip clopped into Hethersett Old Hall School with owner Sarah McPherson, who talked to the children about the work they do.
The donkeys are transported across the region to care homes, voluntary organisations and community groups with the aim of helping people with their wellbeing. The organisation has been chosen by pupils at the school as their charity of the year and will benefit from fundraising activities organised by the children to help maintain the donkey's work.
After the assembly, pupils had an opportunity to get up close and touch the donkeys in the courtyard.
Sarah McPherson established the organisation after seeing the therapeutic effect donkeys had on her mother, who suffered from dementia.
