The town councillors of Wymondham are to meet to elect a mayor and deputy mayor for the 2017/18 term.

Both positions will be appointed at the annual general meeting of Wymondham Town Council, which will take place at the Central Hall on Tuesday, May 2 from 7.30pm.

Appointments to committees will also be made.

The council is also due receive updates about the progress of a working group set to further plans for a new council office, and about a governance review led by South Norfolk Council.

However, a Play England report about the King's Head Meadow Playscape has not yet been received by the council, and the issue is not on the agenda for the meeting.

Wymondham's annual parish meeting took place at Fairland Hall on Tuesday.

David Potten from the Citizens Advice Bureau gave a presentation, and mayor Joe Mooney gave a town council review of the year.
