Norwich Cathedral's master of music is playing a free concert tomorrow night to raise funds for the hospital that helped his young daughter after she was diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Little Emily Grote was just three-years-old when she was diagnosed in June 2014, and she has endured gruelling treatment both at London's Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and at a hospital in America.

Her father Ashley Grote said Emily, now five, was doing 'remarkably well' and that he was hoping to raise as much money as he can for GOSH.

He raised more than £20,000 from running the 2015 London Marathon, and as he prepares to run the marathon again this year, he is hoping the concert at Norwich Cathedral will boost the £4,000 that has already been pledged by people.

Mr Grote, 33, said: 'Emily is doing remarkably well, and is now in reception at her school, but still receives ongoing care and treatment there [GOSH]. We owe them a great deal, and any more money raised will make a difference I know.'

Tomorrow night's concert is also the launch of Organ Spectacular!, a new CD of popular organ music played by Mr Grote on Norwich Cathedral's organ, including Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and Widor's Toccata.

'It will be a short concert of some of my favourite organ pieces on the CD, and there will also be some organ duets,' said Mr Grote, who will be joined by cathedral organist David Dunnett and organ scholar Jonathan Stamp for the event.

Organ Spectacular! is at Norwich Cathedral tomorrow from 7.30pm until 8.30pm. Admission is free. There will be a retiring collection for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
