Fire crews kept a watching brief through the night as flames engulfed a massive straw stack at Salters Lode, near Downham Market.
Around 600 tonnes of straw were destroyed in the blaze at Chapel farm, off the A1122 Downham Market - Outwell road.
The alarm was raised just before 6pm on Sunday. Norfolk Fire Service said it expected crews would remain on scene throughout today.
“The stack is being allowed to burn as there is nothing else the fire brigade can do,” a spokesman said.
