Sparkling with glitter and adorned with bows, birds and love hearts this show stopper wedding cake towered above its guests when it took a starring role on the small screen.
The nine-tier cake mountain was specially made for a seasonal episode of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding and was painstakingly baked by a Great Yarmouth cafe owner.
Debbie Jansen, who runs a Slice of Heaven tearooms in King Street, was approached last year by a traveller bride to make the edible centrepiece for her big day.
And now months later the topsy turvy creation is set for its moment in the limelight when the Christmas episode of the popular Channel 4 series is aired next week.
Debbie, from Martham, was running her speciality cake business from the indoor market in Regent Road when she was approached by traveller bride Barbara.
She said: 'The bride just walked into my little unit and said 'can you do a six tier cake?' and I said yes, and she said 'what about seven, possibly eight, oh hell why not nine?'
'She told me then what the brief was; cream and gold and every tier to be different and she wanted it to be topsy turvy. She also wanted 200 cupcakes in two towers either side of it and we just took it from there.'
A mammoth baking task ensued and mum-of-two Debbie spent late nights and early mornings creating the colossal sponge cake. Her skills in the kitchen were also caught on camera by the Channel 4 film crew.
Debbie, 44, said: 'They came and interviewed me and came to my house and filmed me while I was doing one of the tiers. It was the biggest cake I've had to do and took me over 150 hours. I had just over a month's notice so it was mad and obviously I had other orders and had to squeeze this in.'
But her baking prowess and hours of work paid off when Barbara saw her handiwork.
'She was more than happy and told the film crew it was more than what she expected,' Debbie added. 'I was pleased with the end result and pleased that she was pleased.' Her creative talents also extended beyond the kitchen as Debbie used her creative skills to decorate the happy couple's wedding venue, a hotel in Oulton Broad. And word of her wedding cake-making abilities have quickly spread as she was recently approached by another couple, also travellers.
