The theatre is holding a family open day next Saturday, February 11 – with a whole host of fun activities available for all ages.

A spokesman for the Marina said: 'Whether you're a seasoned theatre-goer or just a little curious, there will be something for you. Throughout the day we'll be hosting taster sessions on storytelling, musical theatre, stage make up, drama and technical theatre. There will also be a competition and prize draw, tours backstage and more.'

The open day, which runs between 11am and 3.30pm, is free. It will include experienced storyteller Simon Bridge, the theatre's head of young people and outreach Will Isgrove, volunteers at the venue and experienced performer Liberty Jones – who will be lead a professional warm up, rehearsal and performance of a famous dance routine from a West End show.
