A householder was woken by an intruder, who escaped with two handbags and documents.
Detectives are appealing for information following the break-in at Thieves Lane in Rockland All Saints, near Attleborough, at about 1am on Sunday.
The burglar broke into the property by tampering with the back door. The householder woke to find a light on in the spare bedroom and went to investigate when he noticed a man in the room. The intruder escaped through a window.
Two handbags containing cash, cards, car keys and documents were stolen.
