The man who was found dead in a Great Yarmouth museum was a long serving member of the Norfolk Museums Service.
The body of Les Cole was found at the Tolhouse Museum on Saturday.
His death is not being treated as suspicious by police.
Steve Miller, head of Norfolk Museums Service, said: 'Les Cole was a long-serving and wonderful colleague who embodied the spirit of Norfolk Museums Service in terms of his enthusiasm and his dedication.
'He had an immense knowledge of the Yarmouth area and was passionate about sharing that knowledge with visitors of all ages.
'He will be greatly missed by all those who had the pleasure to work with him. Our thoughts and prayers are with Les' family and his close friends at this very difficult time. Our county council wellbeing team will be offering support to any colleagues affected.'
