POLICE need to trace a man who attempted to steal mail from the letterbox of a home in Lowestoft.
The man, who is described as in his 30s with short shaven brown hair and was wearing a big camouflage Army jacket, blue jeans and brown work boots, attempted to steal mail from a letterbox at a home in Church Road about 11.35am to 11.50am yesterday (Monday, January 23).
'Police were contacted by a 32-year-old man who reported he had caught the man going through the letterbox attached to a gate at the front of the property,' a police spokesman said.
'The man ran away when the 32-year-old said he would call police. Nothing was stolen.'
• Officers are asking the man involved or anyone who knows who he is to call PC 1646 Sillett at Lowestoft police on 101.
