A man in his 40s suffered serious facial injuries in Great Yarmouth after being attacked by three men who he had asked for directions.

On Friday, June 16, at just before midnight, the man was walking along Nelson Road towards Crown Road in the town when he approached three men to ask for directions.

He was then assaulted by the men who kicked him in the head, knocking him unconscious.

He was then taken to James Paget University Hospital, where he was treated for a number of serious facial injuries, including a broken jaw, fractured eye socket and a broken right cheek bone.

Police are keen to hear from anybody who was in this area at the time and may have witnessed the assault.
