Armed officers were called to Dereham on Monday morning after a man was stabbed in the hand.
Another man has been arrested in connection with the attack after police were called to The Maltings at 6.45am to reports a man had been injured with a knife.
A man in his late 50s was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and has been taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre where he will be questioned.
The victim, a man in his late 20s, suffered a serious hand injury but his injuries are not life threatening. He has been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for treatment.
